The Thunder Hybrid is a stand-up tower from KBL's megaSun range. It brings the hybrid technology of KBL's premium 8000 alpha hybridSun to a vertical unit: 26 pureSunlight tanning tubes and 26 smartSunlight tubes, 52 in all.
KBL describes its towers as particularly space-saving. The Thunder Hybrid stands on 1,400 × 1,405 mm with its door closed, and its open Topless ceiling brings fresh air in from outside.
What makes the Thunder Hybrid different
Two kinds of tube.
One tower.
Half the tubes are high-performance pureSunlight UV tubes, for the tan. The other half are smartSunlight tubes, which combine four wavelengths of light in one twisted tube.
smartSunlight
KBL's four-in-one tube, formerly called hurricane, combines UV-B, UV-A, red and blue light. It is twisted, which gives it a larger surface than a conventional tube.
Topless ceiling and air control
The open canopy brings fresh air in directly from outside, gives more headroom and lets the client see out. The air control system runs the body fan automatically.
vibraNano
An optional vibrating floor plate, to give clients something more during their session.

What does Hybrid mean?
Half of its 52 tubes are pureSunlight tanning tubes and half are smartSunlight, KBL's twisted tube that combines UV-B, UV-A, red and blue light. It is the hybrid technology of KBL's 8000 alpha hybridSun, in a stand-up tower.
What does the room need?
A three-phase power supply, a dry, ventilated room at least 2,270 mm high, and extraction of at least 2,000 m³/h through a 300 mm hose. The tower weighs about 390 kg. The full figures are in the specification above. Our team will confirm the electrical and installation requirements for your salon.
Who installs and services it?
Specification and installation vary from salon to salon, so we quote for each one. Our own team of six sunbed engineers works across the UK with a fleet of service vans.
