Sunbed lamps are not interchangeable just because they fit or have the same wattage. Before choosing replacements, check the specification for your exact sunbed and configuration. Your manufacturer’s instructions are the starting point.

Send the manufacturer and full model name, serial number if available, and the lamp specification listed in your equipment records or manual. A photo of an existing lamp label is useful if you already have one; do not open equipment just to obtain it. Tell us whether you need body lamps, facial lamps or help identifying the type.
Does 0.3 mean a lamp fits every sunbed?
No. A 0.3 description does not establish compatibility with every piece of equipment. The correct lamp selection needs to be confirmed for the sunbed in which it will be used. Do not select a replacement simply to increase its output.
How long do sunbed lamps last?
There is no universal hours figure for all lamps. Follow the manufacturer’s replacement guidance for the particular lamps and equipment, and keep a record of operating hours and lamp changes. A lamp continuing to light does not replace the maintenance checks required by its manufacturer.
What changes after a retube?
HSE advises operators to fit the correct UV tubes and reassess customers’ exposure requirements after replacement. Use the equipment guidance and your salon’s operating procedures; do not extend sessions to compensate for older lamps or use a generic session time from a blog.
