Ambient Temperature and Sunbed Ventilation in Your Salon

Review room temperature, airflow and maintenance information when a salon sunbed becomes too hot, using the instructions for the exact equipment.

Room temperature and airflow are part of planning and operating a sunbed salon. If equipment becomes unusually hot or stops during use, take it out of use, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and have the cause assessed before using it again. Avoid assuming that changing the room temperature alone will resolve an equipment fault.

Keep a useful record of the problem

  • Record the exact model and any fault message shown.
  • Note when the problem happens, including whether other equipment is running.
  • Record the room temperature and where it was measured.
  • Note recent changes to the room, ventilation or equipment and the date of the last maintenance visit.

Use the operating conditions and troubleshooting information for the exact unit. There is no universal temperature limit or cooling interval that applies to every salon sunbed.

Review airflow and heat removal

Ask the installer or a competent ventilation specialist to review the room air supply, the equipment’s exhaust arrangement and any shared ducting. Include obstructions, blocked outlets and changes to the room layout in that discussion.

Do not cut or alter doors, fire doors, walls or ducting on the strength of a general article. The equipment instructions and premises requirements need to be assessed together before alterations are agreed.

Plan the room and delivery access in detail

Keep maintenance specific to the model

Follow the current manual for cleaning, inspection and filter care, including the instructions for making the equipment safe before maintenance. Do not open panels or change settings unless the manual permits that task and you are competent to carry it out.

Ask about the appropriate maintenance schedule for your unit and its working environment. Do not assume a generic weekly interval, a different model’s filter layout or a change to cooling settings will solve the problem.

Ask for help with Cyrano-supplied equipment

Send the model, fault message and observations to Cyrano when asking about equipment we supplied. We can discuss the information and the next assessment needed; support eligibility and any work required are confirmed for the equipment concerned.
